IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's - The Blue Mountains

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's is Canada's biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Monies raised support local programs and services that improve quality of life for people living with dementia and their families as well as support other activities like education and public awareness. When you walk you make memories matter. Join our walk for fun, fitness and raising much-needed funds and awareness. You can choose to walk, donate, sponsor a walker or volunteer. Only a 1km loop walk starting at the Cedar Grove Labyrinth, 75 Bay Street, Thornbury. There will be activities for children. Registration -- 9:00am; the walk starts at 10am. Larger Than Life - Songs of Billy Collins and ROMA

Grace United Church in Thornbury presents “Larger than Life,” a Mothers’ Day concert featuring the works of Canadian composer, Peter Skoggard. The program will include “Songs of Billy Collins,” performed by Marion Samuel Stevens, soprano and Irene Gregorio, piano, as well as The Penderecki String Quartet and pianist Christopher Burton, performing the newly composed Piano Quintet, “Roma” by Peter Skoggard.

In honour of mothers everywhere, there will be a few surprises along the way in the program.

That’s at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 12 at Grace United Church in Thornbury.

Tickets are $30 per person*, with a special rate of $25 for Seniors*.
